Monarch Wings: A Mother-Daughter Ecological Journey ft. Fiber Artist Boisali Biswas and MS Candidate Esha Biswas
Monarch Wings is a collaborative exhibit and visual conversation between Boisali’s artwork and Esha’s work for her Master’s Practicum in Conservation Ecology. Monarch butterflies have been a powerful source of inspiration for both mother and daughter’s connection to the Anishinaabe land that they are guests on, and important symbols in their artistic and ecological practices. Monarchs tell stories of cross-continental migration, transformation, and ecological interdependence, themes which unite both Boisali’s and Esha’s artistic journeys. |
